MIT Grad Scott Krentel "Most Memorable Teacher"

Thursday, June 22, 2006

Scott Krentel, 1997 graduate of City University's Master in Teaching program, has been recognized as "most memorable teacher" in a student essay contest held by Washington Education magazine.

Krentel, was nominated by an appreciative third grade student who submitted an essay in response to a "Most Memorable Teacher" contest. The competition, conducted by Washington Education Association's Washington Education magazine and open to all school children in grades 3 - 12, drew hundreds of nominations. Krentel's nomination garnered him the top honor in the "Grade 3-5" category for the impression he left on student Bradley Graham from University Elementary School in the Spokane Valley. Krentel and Graham's photo was also selected to grace the cover of the June issue of the magazine.  Find out more about this story at the Washington Education magazine website.

Congratulations, Scott!
