At a Loss

Perfect Partners

From CityU’s Alumni Director

“We are living in exponential times.” I came across this quote from the award-winning presentation, Did You Know? (found on YouTube), which is based on a slideshow by Littleton, Colorado high school teacher Karl Fisch. It uses startling data to demonstrate the dramatic shift technology has had, and will continue to have, on our world. Our universe is expanding at exponential rates. Connecting with others globally is a reality, thanks to the phenomenal tools at our fingertips. Information is created, made available, and found with the touch of a button. Many of you have become experts in maximizing these tools to your advantage.

As an Alumni Director faced with the challenge of reaching out to our over 41,000 alumni worldwide, knowing that we are “living in exponential times” gives me hope. I believe that we will succeed in creating a truly connected network of City University of Seattle alumni. I have seen alumni spread the word about City University academic and alumni programs, often through word of mouth but also through the use of the Internet. If you like this monthly communication from CityU, please forward this e-newsletter to alumni and potential students. Doing so not only spreads the good news about CityU but also builds on the network of people with whom you are connected. This, in turn, can lead to new friendships, further career growth, and greater business success. However, if you would like to stop receiving this email correspondence, please click on the link below to opt out. It can be found at the bottom of this web page.

We will be adding more features to this e-newsletter in the coming months, including a Student Spotlight, news about our regional and worldwide partners, and hopefully even a Classified Ads section. This is just another way we are working to add value to our programs. And don’t forget to spread the word about CityU by forwarding this newsletter to your friends and colleagues!

All the best,

Eileen Ryan-Rojas
Director of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving
