From
CityU’s Alumni Director
As Nat King Cole has sung, the “lazy,
hazy, crazy days of summer” are
finally upon us! I don’t know about you, but I suspect
my days won’t be as lazy as I’d like. The good news
is, they won’t be too crazy, since summer in the City University
of Seattle’s Alumni Office tends to be a time for regrouping
and recouping in preparation for the coming year’s activities.
I’m
certainly thankful for the time to evaluate and refresh as we move
into another academic year.
For those of you in the Pacific Northwestern
United States, in the coming months you’ll be hearing about an exciting partnership
with our Seattle hometown football team, the Seahawks. Look for
announcements about a watch party at Qwest Field in October. This
will be a fun opportunity to gather and hopefully meet a few of the
Seahawks’ players.
We at City University of Seattle
headquarters are working to better reach our international alumni.
In the coming year you will see announcements about alumni gatherings
in Canada, China, Slovakia, Romania and Bulgaria. We
hope to expand that reach this year to support our alumni
in additional countries.
As always, if you’d like
to hear about jobs in your country, or you know of companies or organizations
looking to hire City University of Seattle graduates, please direct
potential employers to my e-mail address at eryan-rojas@cityu.edu.
I wish you a summer of rest and fun – the kind that creates
wonderful memories. Keep checking back with our Alumni Online
Community (and register if you haven’t yet – it’s
FREE!).
All the best,

Eileen Ryan-Rojas
Director of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving
